I am a Hispanic small business owner and successful entrepreneur. However, I didn't start off that way. I was born in a broken home and had some of the most challenging obstacles to overcome as I was growing up. I was exposed to the negatives of life at a young age. My parents abandoned me by the time I was 16. By 18, I started dancing. All the while, I was involved in a fast lifestyle of abusive boyfriends, drug dealing, gangbangers. When I turned 21, I unsuccessfully tried to leave that life behind by staring my own business -- and I lost my whole investment of $20K. Soon after though, I found employment at a tax franchise and within a short amount of time was able to purchase my first business -- in which I lost another $25K. From there, I was able to successfully build my business and expand.
Today, I can humbly say that in addition to my tax preparation office, I also own a software company for independent tax preparers. Lastly, I have a growing personal brand on social media. Nonetheless, none of these compares to the pleasure I have had at becoming a motivational speaker at workshop events.
My passion is to help aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals in achieving their goals. I believe in empowering members of disadvantaged communities, particularly minorities and women. Financial freedom IS a possibility and my goal is to help every one of you make it a reality in your life.
MY EXPERIENCES
I’ve had the pleasure of working in the financial industry with an emphasis on personal and business taxation. Since then, I’ve become involved with the real estate and credit repair industries. Overall, my knowledge and experience places a spotlight on building wealth, especially for millennials and disadvantaged groups who may either lack or have been underexposed to essential financial literacy topics.
